Small but mighty, wholegrains sure do pack a punch when it comes to keeping us healthy at every stage of our lives. But did you know that wholegrain are a particularly important inclusion on our dinner plates when it comes to healthy ageing?

Strong muscles, strong bones

Wholegrains are a great source of plant-based protein, as well as minerals such as zinc and magnesium. We all know that protein is an essential nutrient for strong and healthy muscles, but protein also assists with tissue growth, and keeping every cell in our bodies healthy. Zinc is important for maintaining muscle mass, and magnesium assist with muscle repair.
